The Bunkhouse

The largest and most impressive of the barns is home to a comfortable, popular bunkhouse, (formerly YHA Ridgeway). Offering accommodation to families, groups and individuals, a popular year round destination.

There are 60 beds in total arranged on 2 floors. The ground floor rooms are small rooms suitable for families, whilst the first floor rooms are larger dormitory style rooms (with plenty of character).

We offer evening meals, breakfasts and picnic lunches, all prepared using as much local produce as possible. Meals are served in the beautiful high roofed dining room which retains the impressive proportions and atmosphere of the old barn. Before and after your meal relax in the cosy sunken lounge, with a log fire when it is chilly!

There is also a self catering kitchen (with a view) if you prefer to do your own thing, though this may not be suitable for large groups. Other facilities include a drying room, laundry, cycle shed.

Camping

At the edge of the beech wood, and with stunning views over The  Vale of the White Horse, a better campsite would be hard to find. We offer a limited number of pitches for small tents. We can accommodate small groups by arrangement, and offer a special rate for Duke of Edinburgh's Award groups! Campers have access to all the Centre's facilities (some restrictions may apply at busier times), and there is a separate wash room for the campsite. Sorry dogs are not allowed on the campsite.

Though we are not able to accommodate caravans or camper vans on the campsite, at quieter times other arrangements may be possible.

Groups

Court Hill is popular with groups of all kinds. At certain times of year it may be possible to have sole use of the bunkhouse accommodation (though not of the whole site). For school parties and youth groups we have a range of self led games and activites. The Beechwood Room is ideal for use as a classroom, training room or meeting room and can booked for as short a time as 1 hour.

A group stay risk assessment is available to all group leaders, and a leaders previsit is encouraged.
